Our God Reigns, Revelation 11:15-19

September 8th, 2013. Pastor Steve finishes this great eleventh chapter of Revelation, which is the seventh trumpet. Woe is expected, but what John writes is a profound instruction on worship. This is our future with the Lord in glory! Also, an unexpected sermon ending…

Begin the Lord’s Day with two great Adult classes:

1. Women’s Ministries is now studying “Set Apart.” This is a study of The Beatitudes. The focus is in knowing God’s true happiness for your life which doesn’t come from things, relationships or positive circumstances, but flows from the very holiness of God! This is taught by Cynthia Camp.

2. A study of the book “Respectable Sins” by Jerry Bridges. This is a powerful book on what it means to die daily to the sins we tend to tolerate everyday. The focus here is on the faithfulness, holiness and grace of God to His covenant people! This is taught by Elder John Samiotis.

Hope you can join us!

Good Evening Beloved!

As we come to Daniel chapter 11 we are coming to the last of the visions and prophecies of this great book. In this chapter, we are seeing the prophecy of the kingdoms – a war of thrones. One of power and calamity; one of battle and deliverance; one of prophecy and protection. Daniel is giving an encouraging word that those people who cling to this prophetic doctrine are under the protection of God. We also see God’s use of His prophets to comfort His people who suffer oppression and torment under godless rulers. A most timely word for the age in which we also live in as well. Amen?

Please read Psalm 2:1-12 and Mark 1:1-15 to prepare your hearts and minds for worship!

I’m looking so forward to making much of Jesus with you on tomorrow’s Lord’s Day!

In the Name of Heaven’s Sovereign,
Pastor Steve

Wives and Husbands – The Mystery of Christ and the Church (pt 1) Ephesians 5:22-33

Wives and Husbands – The Mystery of Christ and the Church (pt 1) Ephesians 5:22-33

This section of God’s Word lays the foundation on what it means to be filled with the Spirit in three areas of relationships: wives and husbands; parents and children; slaves and masters. In part one, Pastor Steve begins to look at the roles of wives and husbands and how they reflect the Lord as a gift of grace to us in reversing the curse of the Fall.

The Reason for Our Redemption (pt 3) “The New Community in Jesus” (Ephesians 2:11-22)

The Reason for Our Redemption (pt 3) “The New Community in Jesus” (Ephesians 2:11-22)

This week Pastor Steve begins Ephesians 2:11-22 on The New Community in Jesus or From Disunity to Community. This message has as a sub-theme overcoming racism. There was no greater racial tension than what the early church experienced between Jew and Gentile. The gospel was powerful in bringing down that dividing wall! May we learn from its truths in our day.
