Loving our neighbor in need is not an option in ministry, it is essential. Whether it be to the household of faith (Gal 6:10) or to a hurting stranger in our path (Luke 10:25-37), what a great joy to show God’s visible mercy to others in real and tangible ways (1 John 3:17-18, Matt 25:31-46). I thank The Lord for our church body who live generously to that end. SDG!

December 22, 2013 A special Christmas Sunday of Worship. Pastor Steve believes that this is the greatest verse in all of the Bible: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14) God became a man! What joy, what glory, what awe.

Live Gospel Strong – Marriage, God’s Way

Do we believe the gospel really changes everything? Gov’t didn’t create marriage and gov’t can’t ultimately redefine it either. In the face of the SCOTUS decision to reverse DOMA, let’s live gospel strong and take its life-giving truth to our neighbors – even our gay neighbors. It is more powerful than any court. Amen? (Romans 1:16-32)
