Walk Wisely – Redeem the Time (Ephesians 5:15-21)

In Ephesians 5:15-21, the Apostle Paul gives us six important reasons to redeem the time: in wisdom, with understanding, being filled with the Spirit, in song, giving thanks, and submitting to one another. This is practical godliness that should be evidenced by all true believers in Jesus.

The Sovereignty of God and Prayer by John Piper

The Sovereignty of God and Prayer by John Piper

“the Spirit of God intercedes for us according to the will of God” (Romans 8:27)

I am often asked, “If you believe God works all things according to the counsel of his will (Ephesians 1:11) and that His knowledge of all things past, present, and future is infallible, then what is the point of praying that anything happen?”

Usually this question is asked in relation to human decision: “If God has predestined some to be his sons and chosen them before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4) then what’s the point in praying for anyone’s conversion?”

The Gospel According to Jesus (what it is and what it’s not)

The Gospel According to Jesus (what it is and what it’s not)

The great divines of the 17th century stated what they were for and to clarify what they denied on certain theological issues. This is the spirit of this post for our church. Nothing more important than the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! It was THE test for orthodoxy in Paul’s day and it is in ours as well! (Galatians 1:6-9) May this portion of a statement of faith encourage you in the truth and life-changing hope of the gospel of Jesus!

The Battlefield of the Spiritual Mind, Revelation 9: 1-2

The Battlefield of the Spiritual Mind, Revelation 9: 1-2

May 26, 2013. Pastor Steve looks at the importance of how to fight the spiritual battles we face every day. Though God through Christ is victorious in all things, especially over the onslaughts of the enemy of our soul – Satan; there is still the ongoing warfare that exists still in this fallen world in which we live. Open your Bibles and be prepared to take a fresh look in Revelation 9:1-2 at the reality of this battle. We hope it will encourage you in your walk with the Lord!

The Golden Chain of Salvation

The Golden Chain of Salvation

by Pastor SJ Camp This is one of the most profound and assuring promises in all of Scripture. It is commonly referred to as, “The Golden Chain of Salvation.” It is a chain of five eternal links: God foreknew; God predestined; God called; God justified; and God glorified. Every aspect of our salvation is all and only of Him. No room for man’s self-glory here; no room for a hint of human praise; no room for boasting in ourselves. This is the great work of the Lord alone in our salvation.
