BAND OF BROTHERS 8am – April 23rd – Staying Connected – (pt 6) Living in Community (2 Cor 1:3-7)
I’ve missed you brothers! I’m so looking forward to B.O.B. with you all in the morning. We will be reading and discussing 2 Cor 1:3-7 on living in community with the added emphasis on what Paul calls “the God of all comfort!”
Let’s meet at our home again and maybe Cindy just might wrestle up some breakfast for you all :-)! Looking forward to some wonderful fellowship together. Pastor Steve (2 Cor. 4:5-7)
This week Pastor Steve expounds one of the most rich and profound texts found anywhere in Scripture on the salvation of God’s people in Ephesians 2:4-10. May this cause you to rejoice afresh in the Lord Jesus for your eternal life which is by grace through faith in Christ alone!
This week we conclude chapter two of Titus on the marvelous theme of “the saving grace of God.” In these few short verses the Apostle Paul covers the entire sweeping panoply of our salvation. It is a hopeful and assuring passage of Scripture on the unshakable reality of our eternal life we possess through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Please read Psalm 98 to prepare your hearts and minds for worship this Lord’s Day. Make much of Jesus beloved!
Grace and peace to you all,
WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY TONIGHT, 7pm at The Camps! Theme: “How To Pray for One Another” pt2 (Col 1:9-14). A special thx to John Samiotis for leading this encouraging study tonight!
Please bring a few snack items for others to enjoy. Food, fellowship and faith! Going to be a great night!
Yours for the Master’s use,
The Manhattan Declaration and Evangelical Co-Belligerence (ECB). This is an article worth reading again considering the election primary cycle our nation finds itself in. Consider reading Romans 13:1-17; 1 Peter 2:11-17; and 1 Timothy 2:1-5 as you ponder this important issue.
In Augustine’s brilliant tome, “The City of God”, he depicts members of two societies: The City of God and The City of Man. Both are bound by God’s sovereignty; both are under the authority of His Word, but the two cities posses very different realities.
This is the general introduction by Pastor Steve on the incredible, meaningful handbook on evangelism – the epistle of Titus. He’s given this series the inspiring title of “Becoming Fishers of Men.” I hope that’s your heart for 2016 – let’s be soul winners, by God’s sovereign grace, seeing lives saved and changed for eternity! Amen?
