THIS WEEK – Luke 6:27-36 “Loving Our Neighbor in an Age of Rage (pt 5) – Love Your Enemy.”

In part five of our series this week we will be studying the most controversial and difficult aspect of what it means to love our neighbor and it is this: what does it mean to “Love Your Enemy?” Luke 6:27-36; Matt 5:43-48; and Romans 12:9-21 will be our primary focus in God’s Word. Please read Psalm 33 to prepare your hearts and minds for worship this Lord’s Day. Communion will also be celebrated in worship!

Let us glorify the King of kings and Lord of lords together!

Middle of the road is the easy place. It is the place of imagined contentment and prolonged consequence. It is the great-negotiated corridor that seeks to appeal to as many as possible, but seeks to define nothing. It is the great vacancy occupied in the land called “Between”. The gospel of Jesus calls us out of our comfort zone to live counter-cultural for Him!

Walk Wisely – Redeem the Time (Ephesians 5:15-21)

In Ephesians 5:15-21, the Apostle Paul gives us six important reasons to redeem the time: in wisdom, with understanding, being filled with the Spirit, in song, giving thanks, and submitting to one another. This is practical godliness that should be evidenced by all true believers in Jesus.

Communion is one of two ordinances (the other baptism) the Lord has commanded us to do in demonstrating our love and obedience to Him. According to the Apostle Paul as we do this we proclaim His death until He comes (1 Cor 11:26).
