This is a powerful and uplifting message on the greatness of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is written by one of my favorite authors in a highly commended to you. May these words cause you a fresh to have hope, trust and assurance in your salvation which is God’s gift of grace to you through Jesus!
Two great ways to begin the Lord’s Day with us at 9am: Women’s Ministries is studying “A Woman’s Battle Plan to Serious, Specific, and Strategic Prayer” by Priscilla Shirer); and the other class, a mixed Adult Class, is looking at “Christ in the Old Testament.” Looking at OT passages and seeing its fulfillment in the NT.
Hope you can join us!
In Augustine’s brilliant tome, “The City of God”, he depicts members of two societies: The City of God and The City of Man. Both are bound by God’s sovereignty; both are under the authority of His Word, but the two cities possess very different realities. One is eternal, the other is temporal; one is heavenly, the other is eartly; one is perfect, the other is human. But yet both are under the divine will, purpose. plan and pleasure of God. For the believer in Christ, the tension is living faithfully by God’s Word in The City of Man while pressing on to The City of God. This is the message for us in 1 Peter 2:13-17!
Please read Psalm 46 to prepare your hearts and minds for worship! Let us make much of Jesus together!
The cross waves higher than the flag!

“the Spirit of God intercedes for us according to the will of God” (Romans 8:27)
I am often asked, “If you believe God works all things according to the counsel of his will (Ephesians 1:11) and that His knowledge of all things past, present, and future is infallible, then what is the point of praying that anything happen?”
Usually this question is asked in relation to human decision: “If God has predestined some to be his sons and chosen them before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4) then what’s the point in praying for anyone’s conversion?”
In Matthew 5:13-16 the Lord Jesus gives us very practical and helpful word pictures of what it means to be a faithful witness in and to a lost world!
Our prayer is that this message will daily strengthen your walk in Christ so that you may truly represent Him and His gospel to the community in which He has sovereignly placed you!
