June 22nd, 2014. Pastor Steve revisits Romans 10:9-13 on The Gospel of God focusing on the great truth that Jesus is Lord! The acknowledgment that Jesus is Lord means that He “shares the name and the nature, holiness, authority, power, majesty and eternity of the one and only true God!” -Cranfield
Two great ways to begin the Lord’s Day with us at 9am:
“LIVE A PRAYING LIFE” by Jennifer Kennedy Dean Learning how to make prayer a practical part of your day. Meets in the WarRoom.
“Christ in the Old Testament” focusing on the book of Isaiah! Taught by Elder Ed Galante. Meets in the Church Library.
Hope you can join us!
The text for this week is 1 Peter 3:18-22 (pt 2). Our focus in these verses is “the fear of the Lord.” In other words, no one ever lives greater then their view of God. If you have a casual view of God – then you’ll live casually to Him. But if you have a high, exalted, holy, reverent view of God – you will live faithfully to Him. It’s that critical and that simple. In our worship this week we continue to see four views of the matchless Person of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He is Lamb (Substitute), He is Lord (Sovereign), He is Liberator (Salvation) and He is Lofty (Supreme).
Please read Psalm 110:1-7 to prepare your hearts and minds for worship.
I look forward to making much of Jesus together with you!
Is attending faithfully a local gospel-centered church on Sunday for worship an optional thing in our walk with Jesus? Yes it is! If you think not, read Hebrews 10:23-25,,, it just might change your mind!
Theme? Ministry! Every Christian is in the ministry by virtue of your salvation. Find out where your calling is!
GOD ORDAINED MINISTRY IS:
(2 Corinthians 4; 2 Timothy 2)
This will be an awesome way to kick off the new year!
Breakfast? Everyone bring something: fruit, donuts, eggs, bagels, cream cheese, fruit juice, etc. As always, we’ve got great coffee for you!
8am. C u then!
This week Pastor Steve unfolds the weighty doctrine of sin found in Ephesians 2:1-3. He’s titled it, “Sinners In The Hands of A Holy God.” May your hearts be stirred to the greatness of our salvation in Jesus because of the forgiveness of the depth of our own sin!
