John 3:31-36
31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony. 33 Whoever receives his testimony sets his seal to this, that God is true. 34 For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

The Sufficiency of Christ
Definition: The Lord Jesus Christ is fully complete, adequate, lacking nothing in His nature, person, work and gospel.
Remember, sinner, it is not your hold of Christ that saves you–it is Christ; it is not your joy in Christ that saves you–it is Christ; it is not even your faith in Christ, though that is the instrument–it is Christ’s blood and merits; therefore, look not to your hope, but to Christ, the source of your hope; look not to your faith, but to Christ, the author and finisher of your faith; and if you do that, ten thousand devils cannot throw you down… keep your eye on Him! Let His death, His agonies, His groans, His sufferings, His merits, His glories, His intercession, be fresh upon your mind; when you get up in the morning look for Him; when thou lie down at night look for Him.
The Sovereignty of Christ
Definition: God orchestrates all things for His glory after the counsel of His will.
God not only created everything, but everything, which He created, is subject to His immediate control. God rules over the works of His hands. God governs the creatures He has made. God reigns with universal dominion.
One of the most flagrant sins of this age is irreverence. Irreverence is, also, failure to ascribe the glory, which is due the great and dreadful majesty of the Almighty. It is the limiting of His power and actions by our degrading conceptions: it is the bringing of the Lord God down to our level. There are multitudes of those who do not profess to be Christians who deny that God is the omnipotent Creator, and there are multitudes of professing Christians who deny that God is absolute Sovereign. They know not that their lives are at the sovereign disposal of the Divine Despot. They know not that God is the Potter, and they the clay.
The Faithfulness of Christ
Definition: All that God does is fully consistent with Himself; sentiment, circumstance, or person does not sway Him.
The character of God is the Christian’s final ground of assurance and the solution of many, if not most, of his practical religious problems. He has never at any time anywhere in the vast universe acted otherwise than in character with His infinite perfections. This knowledge should be a warning to the enemies of God, and it cannot but be an immense consolation to His friends.
