Wives… submissive love; husbands… sacrificial love. May this simple yet profound portion of God’s Word encourage us all to honor the Lord by serving one another as “coheirs of the grace of life” in marriage. “Sacred honor” isn’t a phrase we use much these days, but every American life is touched by the bounty of this, the Founders’ legacy. It means dedicated and devoted to God to uphold moral integrity, strength of character, and ethical principles for the betterment of all. It is freedom, tested by blood, and watered with tears. Especially as Christians, let’s not take our freedom for granted.
