There’s Nothing Common About Grace

There’s Nothing Common About Grace

“Grace is a provision for men who are so fallen that they cannot lift the ax of justice; so corrupt that they cannot change their own natures; so adverse to God that they cannot turn to Him; so blind that they cannot see Him; so deaf that they cannot hear Him; and so dead that He Himself must open their graves.” -G.S. Bishop

Good Evening Beloved!

I trust you’ve had a wonderful godly week serving the Lord by caring for others by God’s Providential goodness and grace..

Tomorrow we are studying “Every Believer is in Full Time Ministry” (2 Cor 4:1-12). This is a timely and encouraging text for the days in which we live. As evidence of the transformed life we’ve been given by His Sovereign electing love, we always want to be salt and light in this world, clothed with generous hospitality, as a testimony of His transforming grace! Have you thought how God has put you in fulltime ministry by virtue of your salvation? This will be an encouraging study together!

Please read 1 Chronicles 16:8-11, 23-31 and Ephesians 4:11-16 to prepare your heart and mind for worship.

So grateful and excited to make much of Jesus with you!

The Reason for Our Redemption (pt 3) “The New Community in Jesus” (Ephesians 2:11-22)

The Reason for Our Redemption (pt 3) “The New Community in Jesus” (Ephesians 2:11-22)

This week Pastor Steve begins Ephesians 2:11-22 on The New Community in Jesus or From Disunity to Community. This message has as a sub-theme overcoming racism. There was no greater racial tension than what the early church experienced between Jew and Gentile. The gospel was powerful in bringing down that dividing wall! May we learn from its truths in our day.

Is Salvation a Matter of Your Free Will… or God’s?

Is Salvation a Matter of Your Free Will… or God’s?

The issue of the gospel is not how do we get sinful people to a holy God; but how does a holy God come to sinful people without violating His holiness and justice? The answer is cross (Heb 2:17). But in evangelism is God a frustrated suitor nervously waiting for sinful man to choose Him? Does man have a free will to choose God; or does God alone have a free will to choose man? (Romans 9:10-24)
