This book and now movie are nothing more than toxic sludge for the soul. Written with all the maturity and acumen of a sixth grader who hasn’t reached puberty yet, this tripe targets and is degrading to women; designed for those desperately looking for fantasy that will numb the pain of shattered, unfulfilled love. Ladies, you’re better than this.
Real love is unmerited, undeserving, unfailing, self-sacrificial and unreciprocated. Why? Because that’s how God loves us through Christ! It’s Valentines Day weekend. May I encourage you to stay home from the movies, nestlé up with a great book, the Bible, and hear about the substance of genuine love. Where you should you begin?
