Join us July 23-26 from 5p-8p for an exciting, energetic, equipping time for kids ages 5-12 years of age as we jam our way through the School of R.O.C.K.
The Bible refers to the Lord as our Rock. Psalm 62:2 says, “The Lord only is my ROCK and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.” What a tremendous promise and theme verse for this year’s VBS!
We have unpacked this word R.O.C.K. this way: the Righteousness Of Christ our King! Everything we do and everything we are – we desire to obey and reflect the Lord Jesus Christ in every area of our lives… every day. His righteousness, His grace, His love, His mercy, His hope, His truth, His joy… His life. This is the ROCK we desire to point the kids too.
We have chosen a music theme for VBS this year and there are four kinds of music that define each day of VBS:
1. “Country” – GOD – Worship – Who is God? (Romans 12:1)
2. “Folk” – GOSPEL – Salvation – Knowing God (John 3:16)
3. “Jazz” – GO – Evangelism – Telling others about God (Mark 16:15)
4. “Rock” – GUARD – Putting on the Armor of God – Living for God each day (Ephesians 6:11a)
Your kids will learn some incredible praise music, hear amazing Bible stories, memorize God’s Word, enjoy some great activities, munch on some awesome food, and mostly, learn how they can play in the band of the School of ROCK for Jesus.
